Between us, we have spent six decades inside finance recruitment. We've worked with every kind of business — founder-led startups, FTSE-listed companies, PE and VC-backed organisations — and every kind of career story. From first moves to boardroom appointments. From businesses making their most critical hire to professionals navigating the most important decision of their working life.
We've seen what great hiring enables. And we've seen what bad hiring costs. Both leave a mark.

The frustration
What we knew could be better was the process. The platforms built for everyone except the people actually doing the hiring. The candidates sending CVs into silence. The hiring managers waiting weeks for shortlists that didn't quite fit. The agencies that disappeared after the placement.
Hiring had become harder, slower, and more expensive than it needed to be. And the people bearing the cost in time, money, and missed opportunity were exactly the people we'd spent our careers trying to help.
The vision
We also saw where the world was heading. AI wasn't coming for recruitment, it was already here. And we had a choice: watch it happen or shape it.

So in 2023, drawing on everything we'd seen and learned, we built SearcHive.
